Buying your first guitar can be an overwhelming proposition.Electric Guitars For Sale Under 100 What should you look for in a? What’s the difference between a Fender and a Gibson guitar? How much should a guitar cost? Is buying a guitar online safe, or should you visit a brick and mortar store? With a little research all of these questions can be answered, and you’ll be on your way to unleashing your inner rock star!

The first decision that you need to make before purchasing a guitar is to decide if you’re looking for an acoustic guitar or an electric guitar. An acoustic guitar is well suited to folk, jazz, country, and religious music. Let’s first think about why you want a guitar? If the idea of an impromptu jam session at a backyard barbeque is what you have in mind an acoustic guitar might be exactly what you’re looking for. They are an easy instrument to grab and go with. Although an acoustic guitar can be a bit more difficult to learn due to the tension needed to press the strings, it is still a beautiful instrument worth learning to play.

Electric guitars are ideal if you have visions of playing in a band and busting out some rock n’ roll. When purchasing an electric guitar you will have to keep in mind that you will also need to purchase some cables and an amplifier. These guitars have a smaller neck so reaching the strings is easier. An electric guitar is ideal for rock, heavy metal, or any type of music where you’re looking to play riffs or achieve a distorted sound.

The look and style of a guitar is an important aspect to take into account. Chances are if you’ve been dreaming about playing the guitar you’ve already figured out some details that you want your guitar to have. There are many great brands of guitars, like Fender guitars, but when purchasing a guitar you will want to make sure that you take into account your finances. For you first guitar perhaps you don’t want to buy a top of the line item. Instead perhaps you could look toward a more generic brand with some of the same features that you had originally been interested in.

The next decision that you must make is do you want to purchase your guitar from your local music store or would you rather buy a guitar online. Online music sales have become a booming industry, but how do you know what you’re going to get? First and foremost you should check out some online reviews of the individual vendors that you are looking at purchasing from. Then look at the inventory that your online store has available. It is advisable to go to your local music store to look at the guitar that you’re thinking of purchasing. That way you can see and touch it in person to make sure that it is really what you want to be buying. Probably the most important factor to most people when purchasing a guitar is the cost. So doing a price comparison between your local music store and some of the online shops can often lead you to finding the best deal.

So, once you find that dream guitar at the store, go home and try to find it online and see what kind of price difference and savings that you achieve. And remember, be patient and have fun! It is a great experience to play that first strum that actually sounds like music.

guitar for sale|guitars for sale

I have a very cheap (I got it for $9 at a yard sale) acoustic guitar that I use to play in my guitar class at school. The sound quality isn’t very good and the action downright sucks.
However, it looks exactly like three other guitars in the class, and one of the other students has tried to steal it a few times when he’s forgotten his. I was thinking about painting it so that it was very obviously mine (and therefore would stop getting stolen), but I wasn’t sure if that would make it so that I couldn’t play it anymore.
I was planning on just taking the strings off, sanding it, priming it, painting it with acrylic paints, and sealing it. Would that be too heavy?
Once again, sound quality will not be an issue, but it must be playable. Any advice?

I wouldn’t do it to a fine instrument but since you have an old junker, have fun.
